But, we’ve taken the time to integrate much of the technology and direction that we’ve been using in clients sites into our current website design / redesign. It’s always important to understand where the Search Engines are focused on. With this in mind, we see a continued trend to focus on Mobile over Desktop website design logic. Mobile First is more than just how your material/content is viewed on a Mobile Phone, it’s understanding that Mobile also has constraints regarding band-width; both in terms of loading speed and potential costs to the person viewing your site. Some things to help achieve these goals are to use graphic types that take little space. Vector Graphics have always been a good choice when looking for “resolution independent” methods of retaining high quality at any screen size. Additionally, there are inline methods for displaying different images depending on the size of the screen the viewer is using. Our redesign continues to use WordPress but, as was the original goal of testing a site in WordPress, it depends on your needs when determining what technology to use. WordPress can still take longer to develop if you need custom features when you have unique goals for your website.
